We operate on the theory that "it is easier to build strong
children than it is to repair broken adults."
Bringing children together to learn a new fun sport also enables
them to meet lots of new friends,
helps them with character and integrity development, not to mention,
increasing their ability at teamwork through sportsmanship, discipline,
and good work ethics. These overall mission goals,
plus lots and lots of fun, makes our program a fulfilling experience
for all who participate.
Our programing constitutes a wide variety of activities
that meets the needs of children of all ages and
abilities. They include outdoor and indoor clinics, several 10
and Under clinics, school and recreation center programming, play
days, as well as USTA sanctioned junior tournaments that provide
competition for youth 8 through 18 years of age. Our total Junior
Program is reflective of what we have done, what we are doing
and what we hope to do.
The Baltimore Tennis Club (BTC ) teaching staff
represents many years of experienced tennis instruction to children.
They have all been trained at USTA sponsored 10 and Under workshops
and USTA Recreational Coaches workshops. The BTC also employs
several USPTA certified tennis Instructors to lend a higher level
of instruction to our many youth endeavors.
